These Referral Partner Program Terms and Conditions govern participation in the PNW Critters Dog Boarding Referral Partner Program. By applying for, joining, or participating in the program, you agree to follow these terms.
PNW Critters may approve, decline, suspend, or remove any referral partner at any time.
PNW Critters offers small-scale farm dog boarding in Brush Prairie, Washington, near Vancouver, WA and the greater Portland area.
The Referral Partner Program rewards approved partners for referring qualified new dog boarding clients to PNW Critters.
This program is intended for trusted referral partners such as dog trainers, groomers, dog walkers, pet photographers, pet sitters who do not offer boarding, local pet businesses, creators, and other people or businesses with access to good-fit dog owners.
The goal of the program is to introduce PNW Critters to responsible dog owners who are looking for safe, home-style, small-scale farm dog boarding.
“PNW Critters” means the dog boarding business operating through PNWCritters.com.
“Referral Partner” means an individual, business, or organization approved by PNW Critters to participate in the referral program.
“Preferred Partner” means a select referral partner approved by PNW Critters for an increased commission rate.
“Referred Client” means a new dog boarding client referred to PNW Critters by an approved Referral Partner.
“Qualified Referral” means a referred client who meets all eligibility requirements in these terms.
“Eligible Boarding Revenue” means completed and paid dog boarding revenue from a qualified referred client, excluding taxes, discounts, refunds, credits, third-party platform fees, tips, damage reimbursements, vet reimbursements, unused deposits, product purchases, gift cards, and any non-boarding charges.
“First $1,000 in Eligible Boarding Revenue” means the first $1,000 in eligible completed boarding revenue paid by the referred client within the qualifying period.
“Qualifying Period” means the first 12 months after the referred client’s first completed paid boarding stay, unless PNW Critters approves a different period in writing.
Approved standard Referral Partners earn 15% commission on the referred client’s first $1,000 in eligible completed boarding revenue.
The maximum standard commission is $150 per qualified referred client.
Select Preferred Partners may qualify for 20% commission on the referred client’s first $1,000 in eligible completed boarding revenue.
The maximum preferred partner commission is $200 per qualified referred client.
Preferred Partner status is not automatic. PNW Critters may approve Preferred Partner status based on referral quality, number of successful referrals, professionalism, relationship strength, and business fit.
Example 1: A standard partner refers a new client who completes $300 in eligible boarding revenue. The commission is 15% of $300, which equals $45.
Example 2: A standard partner refers a new client who completes $1,000 in eligible boarding revenue within the qualifying period. The commission is 15% of $1,000, which equals $150.
Example 3: A preferred partner refers a new client who completes $1,000 in eligible boarding revenue within the qualifying period. The commission is 20% of $1,000, which equals $200.
Example 4: A referred client spends more than $1,000. Commission only applies to the first $1,000 in eligible boarding revenue unless PNW Critters approves a separate written agreement.
A referral qualifies for commission only if all of the following are true:
The referred client is new to PNW Critters.
The referred client has not previously booked, inquired, completed a meet-and-greet, contacted PNW Critters directly, booked through Rover, or otherwise appeared in PNW Critters records before the referral.
The referral is tracked before the first completed booking.
The referred dog is approved by PNW Critters as a good fit.
The referred client completes and pays for at least one dog boarding stay.
The booking is not canceled, refunded, disputed, charged back, or left unpaid.
The referral complies with these terms.
PNW Critters makes the final decision on whether a referral qualifies.
Referral commissions apply only to new clients.
A referral is not eligible if the client has previously contacted, booked, stayed with, or been introduced to PNW Critters before the referral was submitted.
A referral is not eligible if the client was already in conversation with PNW Critters through text, email, phone, website form, Rover, social media, Google Business Profile, or any other channel before the referral was made.
If there is a dispute about whether a client is new, PNW Critters will make the final determination based on available records.
Commission is calculated per referred client household, not per dog.
If a referred client has multiple dogs, eligible boarding revenue from that client’s household may count toward the first $1,000 in eligible boarding revenue.
A partner may not receive separate $1,000 commission caps for multiple dogs from the same household unless PNW Critters approves an exception in writing.
Referrals may be tracked by referral link, referral code, form submission, written note, email, text confirmation, or another method approved by PNW Critters.
To receive commission, the referral must be clearly connected to the Referral Partner before the referred client completes their first booking.
The referred client should mention the Referral Partner’s name, business, referral code, or use the approved referral link when contacting PNW Critters.
If a referred client forgets to mention the partner, the partner must notify PNW Critters within 7 days of the client’s first inquiry. Late referral claims may be denied.
PNW Critters is not responsible for untracked referrals, missing referral codes, broken links, incorrect links, deleted cookies, browser privacy settings, or clients who fail to identify the Referral Partner.
Only one Referral Partner can receive commission for a referred client.
If multiple partners claim the same referred client, PNW Critters may choose the partner who first made a properly tracked referral.
If the referred client identifies a specific partner as the source of the referral, PNW Critters may use that information to determine attribution.
PNW Critters has final authority over referral attribution.
Commission is earned only after the referred client completes and pays for an eligible boarding stay.
Commission is not paid when a client merely submits an inquiry, schedules a meet-and-greet, requests dates, joins a waitlist, or begins a booking conversation.
Commission may be paid monthly, after the end of the month in which the eligible stay is completed and paid in full.
PNW Critters may delay payment if there is a refund risk, payment dispute, chargeback, unresolved client issue, or suspected violation of these terms.
Referral Partners must provide accurate payment information before commission can be paid.
PNW Critters may pay commissions by Paypal or dog boarding credit.
Referral Partners are responsible for keeping payment details current.
PNW Critters is not responsible for payments sent to incorrect payment information provided by the Referral Partner.
Referral Partners are independent contractors for tax purposes.
Referral Partners are responsible for reporting and paying any taxes related to referral commissions.
PNW Critters may require a completed W-9 or other tax documentation before issuing payment.
PNW Critters may withhold payment until required tax documentation is provided.
If required by law, PNW Critters may issue a 1099 or other tax form.
Commission is not earned on canceled, refunded, disputed, charged back, or unpaid bookings.
If commission has already been paid and the related booking is later refunded, charged back, disputed, or reversed, PNW Critters may deduct that amount from future commissions or request repayment.
If a partial refund is issued, commission may be recalculated based on the final eligible amount retained by PNW Critters.
Commission is calculated on eligible completed boarding revenue after discounts, credits, and refunds.
Unused deposits do not qualify as eligible boarding revenue.
Gift card purchases do not qualify as eligible boarding revenue until the gift card is redeemed for an eligible completed boarding stay.
Discounts, credits, promotional offers, partner offers, service credits, and coupons reduce eligible boarding revenue for commission purposes.
Bookings made through Rover or any other third-party marketplace are not eligible for referral commission unless PNW Critters approves the referral in writing.
Referral Partners may not attempt to bypass, manipulate, or interfere with third-party platform rules.
PNW Critters may require direct booking through PNWCritters.com, text, phone, or another approved direct booking channel for referral tracking.
PNW Critters is selective about the dogs accepted for boarding.
A dog may be declined for any reason related to safety, temperament, behavior, health, household fit, availability, legal requirements, or business judgment.
Referral Partners must not promise that a dog will be accepted.
Referral Partners must not promise availability, pricing, special treatment, emergency boarding, or guaranteed approval.
Common reasons a dog may not be a good fit include aggression, serious bite history, unsafe behavior around dogs or people, severe escape risk, unmanaged anxiety, destructive behavior, medical needs outside the scope of care, or other concerns determined by PNW Critters.
No commission is owed if the referred dog is not accepted or does not complete a paid stay.
Referral Partners must represent PNW Critters honestly, professionally, and accurately.
Referral Partners must not make false, misleading, exaggerated, or unsupported claims.
Referral Partners must not pressure clients to book.
Referral Partners must not send unsafe, inappropriate, aggressive, or clearly unsuitable dogs in order to earn commission.

The disclosure must be clear, easy to notice, and close to the recommendation or referral link.
The disclosure must be made before or at the time of the recommendation. It should not be hidden at the bottom of a page, behind a link, only in a profile bio, or buried among unrelated hashtags.

Referral Partners may not ask people to leave fake reviews.
